Vandarth New Music Release

Hey all! I've just released my first solo album for $1 from my website, http://www.vandarth.com. I could use some feedback on the songs. There are some samples posted on the site, or you can check out the 3 songs posted at www.myspace.com/vandarthmusic. Here's some info on the album:

Biography/Album Info:

Nathan Snyder is an independent musician from Indianapolis best known for his band Project Hero. His first solo album, Vandarth: The Escape, was released in January, 2009. The album features 12 songs, drawing inspiration from bands like the Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Weezer and Avenged Sevenfold. Lyrically, Vandarth was inspired by everything from Batman and the Matrix to a rough breakup with his fiancĂ© that ended in the fall of 2008. Nathan said, “After the breakup, I knew I needed to do something to get my mind off of it. Almost immediately after she left my house, I sat down and started recording Vandarth: The Escape. I had so much built-up energy that I didn’t know what to do with myself, so I put all of that energy into music.” Nathan worked for twelve hours almost every day, writing, recording and editing the album. “I took two months off work and barely left my house until the album was finished. The Escape represents an attempt to break away from the things that keep people from reaching their potential. That’s where a lot of people are struggling right now. I wanted to portray a character that feels like he is losing everything but still fights back,” Nathan said. Vandarth: The Escape is available for download at www.vandarth.com for only $1.00. The album contains 12 original songs including Stay With Me, Who You Are, and Departure. The most interesting song on the album, Canon in Drop D, is a mini rock-opera based on Pachelbel’s Canon in D. Vandarth plays all instruments on his albums and also handles all editing, recording and producing. You can find music from Nathan's band Project Hero at www.myspace.com/projecthero. Project Hero will be releasing a full-length album in early 2009.
